The job
For a systematic study on the persistence of organic chemicals and formation of transformation products in the context of agricultural reuse of water the Department of Environmental Analytical Chemistry seeks a Scientist (f/m/x) on biodegradation of organic contaminants in water.
Your tasks
- Development of a suitable biodegradation test system
- Analysis of transformation products by liquid-chromatography-high resolution–mass spectrometry
- Cooperation with project partners
- Scientific presentations and publications

Your profile
- Master’s degree in Chemistry, Environmental Sciences or related natural sciences.
- Strong background in analytical chemistry.
- Skills in organic mass spectrometry and environmental chemistry are highly desirable.
- Very good written and oral communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and motivated in an interdisciplinary team and in a collaborative project.
- Commitment to solution-oriented interdisciplinary research, learning, and career development are mandatory for our new team members
