Your tasks

  • Further development and expansion of the back-end system and the front-end system of the EE-Monitor web application
  • Refactoring and correction of web application components on the basis of independent error analysis (prioritization takes place in the EE-Monitor team)
  • Preparation and participation in the implementation of system integration and deployments of web applications based on containers (Docker)
  • Definition and development of data models and maintenance of databases (PostgreSQL) for processing scientific data
  • Workflow management
  • Preparation and implementation of project-related presentations and workshops (in cooperation with the EE-Monitor team)
  • Writing reports and publications and preparing presentations (in collaboration with the EE Monitor team)
  • Sporadically: Conception and development of scientific graphics for various media formats (digital, print)

Your profile

  • Ideally a university degree in computer science or a related field
  • Experienced and demonstrable use of the Python web framework Django ('Django Web Framework') and Django-Rest-Framework
  • Experienced and proven handling of database technologies (preferably PostgreSQL)
  • Good knowledge of the virtualization of applications and on the basis of containers (preferably Docker)
  • Good knowledge of web application content management (Content Management System - CMS)
  • Good knowledge in the development of OGC-compliant application interfaces (-OGC API) for data provisioning
  • Experience in UI / UX design
  • You rely on the planning, organization and work of collaborative teams in your projects with established tools, such as Atlassian Jira/Confluence and GitLab, or comparable products
  • Very good written and spoken German and English language skills
  • Very good communication and teamwork skills
