Your tasks

  • Development of blue-green infrastructure & water management scenarios
  • Set up block-based water balances across different German municipalities (including rainfall runoff and irrigation modelling)
  • Identify resource limitations for urban greening (space and irrigation water)
  • Visualisation of the resulting scenarios in a web application
  • Project management
  • Acquisition of project funding
  • Publication of scientific results in international peer reviewed journals

Your profile

  • Experience (MSc or PhD) in the field of engineering, landscape architecture/ urban planning, computer science, natural & environmental sciences, or a related field
  • Proficiency in programming (preferably Python)
  • Experience in large data management
  • Experience in web application (mapping) development is a plus
  • Knowledge of storm water modelling (e.g. SWMM) is a plus
  • A foundational grasp of urban water management and irrigation principles and modelling will be a plus
