Your tasks

  • Independent operation of a TD-PTR-mass spectrometer (operational readiness, troubleshooting, maintenance)
  • Independent analysis of environmental samples with TD-PTR-MS. Incorporation and optimization of new measurement methods.
  • Various sample preparation for nanoplastics analysis: water, sediment, soil, biota; Improvement of sample preparation methods
  • Participation in research on nanoplastic in the environment
  • Instruction and support for guests, assistants and student users
  • Occasional field work for sampling

Your profile

  • Training to become a technical assistant f/m/x) (e.g. CTA, BTA, PTA) or laboratory assistant (f/m/x)
  • Sound knowledge and experience in mass spectrometry
  • Experience in supporting MS devices desired
  • Ability to work independently with complex analysis devices
  • Very good technical knowledge of modern analysis instruments and confident handling of standard software applications.
  • Familiarity with coding language (R, PYTHON or similar) is advantageous
  • good written and spoken English knowledge
  • Communication and teamwork skills
