Scientist (f/m/x) Data Integration and Synthesis
The job
Within the Department of Soil System Science and especially the DFG funded priority programme (PP) „Rhizosphere spatiotemporal organisation – a key to rhizosphere functions” (https://www.ufz.de/spp-rhizosphere/) we are seeking for a motivated scientist (f/m/x) for supporting our research in data integration and synthesis. The overarching goal is to identify spatiotemporal patterns of biological, chemical and physical parameters in soil and the rhizosphere; the mechanisms responsible for their development and their relevance for plant resource acquisition, plant health, soil carbon sequestration and soil structure development. Time series analyses (5 years of field data), as well as the integration of data sets of different depth/structure (sensor data, microbiome, gene expression, root characteristics) are required for the 2-factorial Central Field Trial in the PP and a other experiments under controlled conditions. Accompanying the evaluation of experiments, appropriate meta-analyses are also envisaged.Place of work
